Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.5.0) OS: Linux When I attempt something that will change my desktop graphics; ie, put something in the trash or attempt to clear the trash, all the icons move to the upper left hand of the desktop even though I have them all locked into their desktop positions. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Right click on the desktop. Ensure that all your icons have the "Lock in place" button clicked on. Right click on any folder or file. Click on "Move to Trash". Actual Results: All the icons will move to the far left corner. Expected Results: The folder or file should be in the trash and the desktop should be left alone.
Actually, I did try to reproduce it and it reproduced every time. Sorry about that.
This bug has not been fixed as of today October 29 2010 for KDE 4.5.2.
Is there anyone working on this bug for future editions of KDE? If so, please email when you can. Thank you. Keith
Moving files to Trash does not reset custom icon positions in 4.8.0.
