Description Søren Holm 2010-07-30 12:30:16 UTC
Version: 4.5 pre (using KDE 4.4.95)
OS: Linux

Entering text in the composer used a lot of cpu cycles.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start 'top' to monitor cpu usage
2. start a new email.
3. press and hold a key while observing the cpu usage.

Actual Results:
Xpu usage for Xorg and kontact rises sky high.

Expected Results:
Cpu usage should be low.

Xorg is the major cpu hog folowed by kontact. On my dual-core system Xorg uses around 80% and kontact uses around 40%

Fixed in 4.5.0 apparently.
