Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.3.5) OS: Linux In the geröman manual to kfind vers. 1.20.01 there is 2. Dateien suchen Search for files Die Karteikarte Name/Pfad Tab name/path Therein there is no mention of the possibility to have the hidden directories shown in the directories dialogue by pressing F8. This should be added. I do not know whether the english version of the manual is complete in this respect. A. Mehl Reproducible: Always
In general I'd avoid to spread such hints all over every app documentation using the file open dialog. This would better fit into a chapter "Opening Files" in some general kde documentation like we had in kde3. But cause the file open dialog used by kfind doesn't have settings options like the usual dialog, it is near to impossible for Joe User to search with kfind in a hidden folder eg /home/user/.kde. So in this special case I'd like to add this shortcuts (Alt+. and F8 - so far unknown to me) to toggle the display of hidden files/folders. Any comments?
I think this can be added in "or by clicking Browse... and press Enter or click the Find." in "Finding Files" section. Some thing like "or by clicking Browse... (you can toggle the display of the hidden files with Alt+. and F8) and press Enter or click the Find."
