Description Max Bedacht 2010-07-28 00:02:37 UTC
Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

When doing a batch conversion from Adobe RGB to sRGB ob jpg files some of the tags from some of the images were lost. They did not appear in the output image metadata. Using the import metadata function (all options) the metadata from the original image was not copied to the new image.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
use the batch queue manager to process multiple files from the adobe rgb color space to srgb. The origin files have extensive tags.

Actual Results:
some of the images were missing some of the tags. Trying to import the IPTC and EXIF metadata to the new image resulted in no change.

Expected Results:
the original batch run should have resulted in identical metadata in the new image.

the import metadata command should have copied the metadata from the original image to the new image.

I remeber to have fixed something in Color Management too from BQM with digiKam 1.3.0. Please update digiKam and try again.

Also, i recommend to update Exiv2 library to last 0.20.0.

I uninstalled digikam 1.2 and got 1.3 but it would not start. Seems that
there are some unreleased KDE libraries needed. I guess I will live with
workarounds until Ubuntu comes out in October with the new versions.

Max,

Are you tried 1.3.0 release or better 1.4.0 ?

Max,

I cannot reproduce this problem there using current implementation from svn (1.5.0)

Marking as resolved-fixed until reproduced with a recent version (>= 1.7) containing Gilles' fix.
