Version:           2.3.1 (using KDE 4.4.4) 
OS:                MS Windows

Whenever I try to start Amarok, it immediately crashes. There is no error message. klauncher, kded4 and dbus-daemon keep running.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Start Amarok.

Actual Results:  
Amarok crashes immediately.

Expected Results:  
Amarok starts.

Same problem here with Windows XP SP3 and Amarok.

Did full uninstall, removed all config information and reinstalled. Still doesn't work. I didn't see a difference between MSVC or MinGW.

Same for me (but this only happened when I used Phonon 4.4.3)

DirectShow9 backend is totally unmaintained and deader than a doornail, sorry. Please try the VLC or GStreamer backends.
