Description squan 2010-07-24 12:34:29 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

kget is configurable to download with reduced bandwidth, but I don't want to reduce its bandwidth in general.
kget downloads take the whole available bandwidth which is good in general,
but if other processes do network operations kget should take lower priority.

This could be achieved with ionice on the kio slaves spawned by kget.
But it's impractical to do this from the command line.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) start kget download
2) simulteanously try to browse the internet

Actual Results:
Browsing is sluggish

Expected Results:
Browsing is responsive
