Description Fedor 2010-07-24 01:53:43 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.92)
OS: Linux

As described in this thread: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=89235

For my city the only possible weather data source was wetter.com, and now it doesn't work

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
try to add a weather plasmoid with weather for Omsk

Actual Results:
no weather data for Omsk

Expected Results:
obviuos
Comment 1 Ronny Standtke 2010-08-03 14:24:31 UTC
Unfortunately, there is the same issue for my city (Solothurn, Switzerland), which is the canton capital. I really hope this gets fixed, otherwise the weather plasmoid stops being useful for me...
Comment 2 Thilo-Alexander Ginkel 2010-09-11 00:39:57 UTC
Both Solothurn and Omsk return weather data for me when testing with KDE 4.5.1. Is the issue still current for you?
Comment 3 Fedor 2010-09-11 11:07:09 UTC
For me Omsk does appear after the search but then LCD weather plasmoid returns - temperature of -273 degrees, which is obviuosly wrong.
The info is taken from wetter.com, but if i use their site i see normal temperature info, not some absolute cold)

So still needs some work
Comment 4 Fedor 2010-09-11 11:09:24 UTC
But it seems to be another bug, becouse weather plasmoid (not lcd one) reports right info.

Should i open one more bug for that?
Comment 5 Fedor 2010-09-11 11:14:31 UTC
Oh.
Sorry for triple posting, but some more investigation revealed that now wetter.com dataengine doesn't report right values for current temperature, but works good with forecasts.

Seems like wetter.com doesn't provide this info anymore, or i couldn't find it on their site.
Comment 6 Thilo-Alexander Ginkel 2010-09-11 12:35:31 UTC
Unfortunately, that is to be expected as wetter.com does not offer current weather information with their free service, only forecast data.

What I could imagine is the possibility of adding capability metadata for an Ion, which documents the data sources (forecast vs. current data) supported by an Ion.

Solothurn appears again, this issue is fixed for me. Thank you very much.
