Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux I'm seeing a weird behaviour with base64 encoded messages. Basically when the message is shown the last line cannot be seen. Right now I noticed this behaviour when there is no line feed as last character of the last line, and I've spotted this in html messages, even if I'm not sure if this happens also in text formatted messages. The same messages is correctly show in other readers (gmail webmail, for instance) I'm using kde 4.4.5 but this issue is not recent, as I've seen it on 4.4.4 at least, probably even in older version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: read a message base64 encoded lacking EOL on last line.
I can confirm this issue, but with other circumstances. I do not have a base64 message, which shows the same problem. The only problem is the absence of EOL at the end of the message. In HTML, this line is thrown away. In plain text mails, the last line is shown correctly. I use KDE/Kontact 4.4.2 and KMail 1.13.2
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
