Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux with a dual screen configuration, changing the configuration from systemsettings to define which screen is right/left/up/down, rotate one or both screens, etc ... work as expected. However, when restarting KDE, the settings are not reapplied and the standard ones are restored (both screens not rotated and displaying the same thing). I know it's possible to configure this in X server configuration, but I'd expect KDE to do all the xrandr stuff at startup once I configured it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0 - Have to screen 1 - Go in systemsettings - Display - Size & Orientation 2 - Change something (for example put screen 2 on right of screen 1) 3 - Apply and enjoy your working settings 4 - Restart your X server Actual Results: The changed done in step 2 are not active anymore Expected Results: Changes to still be effective
This is a well-known bug that has existed for some time, see: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=20494 and http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde&m=127653746603416 And this is probably a duplicate of #183143. Any chance of a little love on this?
Hi, I can reproduce this issue on 3 different configurations with Debian Squeeze and KDE 4.4.5. Do you need any Xorg or kde logs? Regards, Thomas PIERSON
