Description tswebb 2001-04-21 23:11:04 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: knode
Version: KDE 2.1.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

When reading posts in Knode not all of the message shows up some words or lines will be missing from within the body of the message. Not all of the headers on a server are D\Led.

I can not tell you how to re-produce this problem but to say that you need to use two differant readers to compare posts. KDE2.1 did not do this (AFAIK) but 2.1.1 does.

I tried a re install but no joy.

Uhmm are the words only missing while viewing the article or also if
you open the composer to create a reply?

Which is really strange because KNode was not modified from 2.1 to 2.1.1.

Ah I think your newsserver is broken and randomly uses LF instead of CRLF as
line break character. The missing lines will be fixed in KDE 2.2 for
the missing headers I don't know a easy workaround.

I have not noticed this problem since updating to RH 7.3 with KDE 3.

Thank You for asking,

just raising the priority so it appears in whoever checks the list.
I don't want to close bugs for stuff that others fixed :)

Anyway I am closing this problem.
