When an emoticon is used in a message, this emoticon is shown as a "blank sheet" icon in the notification.

See the attached screenshot.

Thank you for your research. According to these results, this is IMHO a bug in the notification instead of kopete.

Reassigning this bug to Plasma.

same problem here with kde sc 4.4.95. please vote for this bug, this has to be fixed before sc 4.5!!!

See bug 233416. Looks like QtWebKit needs "file://" url, but QLabel (or some other widget that KNotify use to show a message) doesn't! That's bad.

PS I tested in KDE SC 4.4.5 - plasma popups doesn't show images with src="file://..." in it too - so it isn't a plasma bug.

Will it ever be fixed? KDE SC 4.5.1 is out, and this bug isn't fixed yet!
