Description taupter 2001-04-20 09:39:00 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           konqueror
Version:           KDE 2.1.1
Severity:          normal
Installed from:    Debian Packages
Compiler:          gcc 2.95.3
OS:                Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Standard stable Debian with X4.02 and KDE apt lines.

Konqueror fails to save an image from a given page (http://www.visi.com/~tburt/wallpaper/speedofthought.html).
The page loads fine and is rendered as we should expect but when I right-click on the image and select the "Save image as" option it tries to download the image and fails showing a popup window with the message "The file or directory http://www.visi.com/~tburt/wallpaper/speedofthought.jpg doesn't exist". The strange is the fact that the image is already loaded to my computer as I can see it on the Konqueror window.
In my opinion the image should be saved from the already cached image instead of trying to download it.

BR24434 might very well similar to this. The difference is that the "Save
Image As" code is handled by khtml itself which makes it easier to solve:

khtml_ext.cpp:456

      if(!saved)
      {
        /*KIO::Job *job = */ KIO::copy( url destURL );
        // TODO connect job result to display errors
      }

In this case we should be able to pass MetaData to the copy-job.

Cheers
Waldo
