Description Dieter Jurzitza 2010-07-11 19:50:25 UTC
Version:           1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS:                Linux

I stumbled over an issue when trying to configure sendmail as MTA for sending mails in kmail. I always got a message about sendmail would not be configured correctly though I knew it was.
After some fiddling around I found out that the line

host = /usr/sbin/sendmail

did not find it's way into the "mailtransports" file though I configured kmail accordingly (as I had had done many times before). Manually adding

[Transport 1574228004]
host=/usr/sbin/sendmail <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Added manually!
id=1574228004
name=Sendmail
type=Sendmail

does the trick. The "host" line fixed this issue. Must be some problem with configuration / not writing information to the file as it should from within kmail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to configure sendmail as MTA

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
possibility to send mails :-)
