Description angel.tsankov 2010-07-11 13:49:15 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

I noticed that when installing a directory cmake tries to set
permissions on it even when the directory existed before running cmake.
This makes it hard to use package users for package management and I
wonder if cmake can be instructed to skip setting any permissions on existing directories.

This problem occurred with cmake 2.8.1 and several KDE packages, such as kdeartwork-4.4.5 and kdebase-workspace-4.4.5 (both try to install <CMAKE_INSTALL_PERFIX>/share/wallpapers/Media_Life/).

I'm sorry if this is not a KDE issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Build and install kdeartwork and kdebase-workspace with the same CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX.
