Version: 2.0-beta1 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux This bug report was posted in the old sourceforge tracker for Krecipes by an anonymous user: >Hello. First, thank you for a wonderful software. I'm new to Ubuntu, and this is an application that makes me enjoying it a lot! >Here's the bug: I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix Edition on a Dell Mini 9 (screen resolution: 1024 x 600). When I open >Krecipes, everything is fine and displays properly. However, if I switch from the recipe pane to Other items (? - I'm in French) or >to Ingredients (in the Ingredients list, not the Ingredients tab of the recipe editor), when I come back to the recipe editor, the >screen seems to have moved somewhat to the right, and I cannot see about half an inch of the screen, thus missing all the >useful buttons in the Ingredients tab. >If I have to move ingredients around, I must then close and reopen Krecipes. Not a big problem as it is very fast, but still. Mike Ferguson replied: >I can confirm something similar. >If I click on "new recipe", then start typing a long recipe title the left >panel suddenly jumps a bit wider. In my case the other right side windows >don't seem to lose any real estate though, but my window isn't maximised. I would like to add that I can reproduce what Mike says but I need to clear the recipe title before adding a long title, the the left jumps a bit wider. Reproducible: Sometimes OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-5-686 Compiler: cc
This seems to work fine here, no issues no matter how small the window is. Reopen if you can recreate the problem in a recent version of KRecipes (2.0 or newer).
