Version: 1.12.4 (using KDE 4.3.5) OS: Linux When I add a new aspell dictionary using YaST, nothing happens to the KMail editor. The workaround to restart KMail is too troublesome; there should be a button to refresh the dictionary list. Note that KEdit updates the dictionary list transparently. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new message in KMail. 2. Select the German dictionary. 3. Install the German dictionary. 4. Select the German dictionary. Actual Results: 2. Nope; the German dictionary is not available. 4. Nope; the German dictionary is not available. Expected Results: 4. The German dictionary should be accessible at that point, perhaps after pressing [Refresh]. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop Compiler: gcc

Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component. Greetings Christoph Cullmann
