Description Alexander Kazarin 2010-07-05 11:46:35 UTC
Version:           1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS:                Linux

When you reply to the message composer can't substitude "To" field if source message contains:
From: =?UTF-8?B?ItCT0YDRg9C/0L/QsCDRhdC+0YHRgtC40L3Qs9CwIFwi0JHQuNC70LDQuQ==?=
 =?UTF-8?B?0L0g0JHQuNC30L3QtdGBXCIi?= <nobody@co.ru>

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send a message to myself by shell:
$ echo -e "To: boiler@co.ru\nFrom: =?UTF-8?B?ItCT0YDRg9C/0L/QsCDRhdC+0YHRgtC40L3Qs9CwIFwi0JHQuNC70LDQuQ==?= =?UTF-8?B?0L0g0JHQuNC30L3QtdGBXCIi?= <nobody@co.ru>\nSubject: test\n\nbody" | sendmail -t -i

2. I check this message in KMail and push reply button

Actual Results:
"To" field is empty

Expected Results:
To field must be not empty :)

it happens to me, using Hebrew.
in Hebrew, the sign " may indicate acronym, and it's used here and there in the "full name" part of email addresses.

not only that the "To" field is not filled automatically.
if you try to manually enter this address:
hi"there <hi@the.re>
then save as draft. you will see that the "To" field in the saved message is empty.

If you're able to reproduce this issue with recent kmail versions (>=4.7.4), please attach one of these messages.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
