Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux On a slow (800 mhz) low-memory (384 meg) machine with a slow hard drive, the installation goes okay, but after installing system bug-fixes and security upgrades, it fails to reboot, stopping, displaying: No init found. Try passing init= bootarg. It's looking at the initramfs file system when this occurs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Install kubuntu 10.04. Reboot when done (works fine). Install system updates. Reboot when done. It fails during the reboot. Actual Results: It fails to reboot (after upgrades are installed), stopping after the initial screen (with the 4 dots) appears for awhile, displaying: No init found. Try passing init= bootarg. It's looking at the initramfs file system when this occurs. Expected Results: The system should have rebooted successfully after installing updates. The machine is a Gateway computer, 384 mB memory, 800 mhz speed. I think the disk drive is slow (but maybe it's the slow processor). kubuntu 8.04 works fine on this machine
This is a bug tracking system for KDE, not for Kubuntu. Please report kubuntu issues to https://launchpad.net
