Description Simon 2010-06-29 19:56:18 UTC
Version: 1.4.0
OS: Linux

I've got some D90 video clips here. When playing them, the slider below the video does not indicate the time correctly. E.g. for a 2 min video it moves to the half within the first 2 seconds (!) and then moves on slower, always jumping back a little bit again.

Kaffeine shows the same behaviour as well, by the way. melt (from MLT), which is also used in kdenlive, does not do so.

I can upload a sample video if desired/useful, but the problem rather seems to be the video player and not digikam.

What about switching to MLT?

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-0.slh.10-sidux-amd64
Compiler: cc

digiKam do not manage video. It's delegate to phonon component, which use a backend as xine in background...

Thank you for the feedback.

We are sorry, but the xine backend is unmaintained: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-announce&m=130744384419151
Please use the phonon-backend-gstreamer or thre phonon-backend-vlc instead.

Thanks for the hint – unlike gstreamer the vlc works perfectly and displays also D7000 videos nicely.
