Version: 4.4.0 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux In my taskbar, I have a shortcut to /home/username and the trashcan-plasmoid. Both are opened with Konqueror (I have installed version 4.4.4). When I start Konqueror out of the taskbar (by clicking on one of the shortcuts I mentioned), the program repeatings opening new windows. When Konqueror is started out of KMenu, only one window is opened (as it should be). Yesterday, I upgraded to KDE 4.4.4, but the problem persists only since a few hours. I have rebooted my machine, but the problem persists. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Start Konqueror out of the taskbar, for example by clicking at the trashcan-plasmoid or a shortcut to /home/username. Actual Results: Konqueror repeats opening windows. After closing them by pressing alt+f4 repeatingly until no open window of Konqueror is left, Konqueror stops opening new windows. Expected Results: Konqueror should open one window per click on the item in the taskbar. Other shortcuts in the taskbar (Konsole, Amarok, Thunderbird, Firefox...) open only one windows per click.
Update: when opening Konqueror by typing "konqueror /home" or something similar in a terminal, the error appears, too. => So the problem appears when opening a place on the filesystem with konqueror. (I'm completely new to this bugtracking-system here, I apologize for selecting perhaps the wrong categories)
Solved the problem by installing dolphin. Konqueror seems to depend on it in some way.
