Description Martin L ü c h e m 2010-06-25 08:18:45 UTC
Version: 4.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

Default task reminder should be set different. there is no sense to set the default reminder time to let us say 30 minutes before end of the task. In this case it is absolutely to late within the process. When creating a task there should be a reminider before the start of the task not the end. So, how does the ideal solution look like?

1. Default reminder times should be set via configuration item

2. First reminder should be set to e.g. 30 minutes before the START of the task

3. Secon reminder should not be set automatically but should be offered in the dialog e.g. 30 minutes before the END of the task

To clarify: The default schould be: Yes, there is a reminder time set. The default times for this reminder should be set as described above and this should be adjusted via the kalender settings.

Thank you! Martin

Reproducible: Didn't try

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-5-amd64
Compiler: cc

Sorry, I guess I don't get what you want.

It's now like this: you set the default reminder in korganizer's settings to x minutes/hours/days before the event starts. And you can alter the reminder individually for every event. And you can add more reminders to that event too regarding the start and end of an event.

no response to Janet's query of a few years back.

some of this is implemented, but maybe not all.

I will resolve anyway and if modern KDE 4.11 doesn't provide some of the requests made here, please create a new bug report for those missing features.
