That is the message that I got after modifying the menu:

No fue posible guardar los cambios al menú debido al siguiente problema:

No se pudo escribir en /home/manolobarea/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

In english 
It was impossible to save the changes due to:
It could not write in /home/user/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Kmenuedit try to modify and save it.

Actual Results:

It could not write in /home/user/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

Solutionated as follows:

sudo chown -R manolobarea: ~/.local/share/applications
