Hello guys!

Kcapacity bar is always empty on dolphin's places dock. I think it's an oxygen bug since it doesn't happen on other styles...

Keep up the excelent work... I love the way KDE is becoming more and more beautiful each day...

Bye!

Reproducible: Always

I'll be checking.
The fact that the capacity bar is empty with oxygen does not mean it has to be an oxygen bug though. Dolphin has two ways of painting this bar:
- pass it to the style (if the style supports it, which most styles don't, but oxygen does);
- use a fallback.

Question: is the capacity bar empty with bespin ? (thats the only other style I know that supports style painting for capacitybar).

Thx

Any news on this ? I can't seem to reproduce ... (not with trunk at least).
Comment 3 Hugo Pereira Da Costa 2010-07-18 17:29:10 UTC
I could never reproduce with either kde4.5 rc1, rc2, nor trunk.
I suspect a temporary faulty commit in dolphin (since the oxygen code on this has not changed for ages).
Closing as waiting for info. Feel free to reopen.

Did r1182390 fix this?

Hugo, bug 243796 contains an additional patch.
Comment 8 Hugo Pereira Da Costa 2010-10-04 20:23:09 UTC
I could reproduce the bug (originally, I was not looking at the right bar: I was looking at the bar in the statusbar, not in the 'places', mostly because 'this' bug was not explicit enough originally - unlike the others).
As far as I know:
- r253037 fixes it (in kde4.5 branch).
- the bug is not present in trunk.

Bug #253037 is another duplicate of this one, and triggered the fix.
Please confirm, and close this bug if needed.

@Christoph, thanks for the triaging !

Hugo

Still exist with KDE 4.5.2

... shit.
Testing now.
Comment 12 Hugo Pereira Da Costa 2010-10-09 08:22:31 UTC
yes.
I can confirm that the change I committed to kde4.5 branch did not make it to the 4.5.2 release.
Most likely I made the commit too late for this release.
Will have to wait for the next release, and use the script at:

http://hugo-kde.blogspot.com/2010/09/performance-issues-one-script-and-call.html
(can run to get the oxygen code and compile it for either svn trunk or the kde4.5 branch).

With oxygen in the kde4.5 branch that I just compiled, the bug is gone.

can't reproduce for 4.5.3.
Comment 16 Antonio Bulgheroni 2010-11-19 19:28:27 UTC
I can confirm that the version coming with the latest fedora update (4.5.3) fixed the problem.

thanks again
