Description Roman Fietze 2010-06-19 11:40:18 UTC
Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

When I set up kmail to use an external editor or composer, kmail would not allow me to store this setting, neither via Apply (grayed out) nor Ok.

Other settings can be modified and are remembered, I tested e.g. Accounts->Send->Allow 8-Bit/Quoted Printable. I can even turn on/off the toggle "use external composer", and that setting is remembered as well.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
This only happens on one machine. Maybe it's the result of being logged in to that account two times, once at the console at work, once via NX from home. KMail/Kontact were exited normally at work before going home, so kmail/kontact are not running when I log in via NX. Akonadi is running at that moment.

I cannot reproduce that on my machine at home using the KMail instance running there with exactly the same KDE/KMail versions.

Actual Results:
Setting cannot be applied via Ok, Apply is grayed out.

Did not try that using KDE 4.4.4 yet. Cannot see anything on the console when running kmail from bash.

This cannot be reproduced anymore in recent KMail versions. Closing
