Created attachment 48095 [details] The screenshot showing tabs not synced in the left windows and the same tab in the right window Version: 2.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux When tabs are moved from a konsole windows splitted, the tab is removed from only one of the views. The other one still can access the tab, and so the destin window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open 2 konsole windows. Split the first one in two views (I tested with top/botton) Create a new tab on it (it shows a new tab in both view at the same windows as expected) Move the tab from the botton view to the other window Actual Results: I still can access the moved tab using the upper view and it is synced with the other windows Expected Results: Both tabs should disapear inside the original window OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34-45-desktop Compiler: gcc
Open konsole window. Split ... Create ... Move the tab from the botton view to the upper view. Select the moved tab. --> The prompt is missing in the moved tab.
This is actually expected behavior given how split views are done in Konsole. Splitting the view creates two views on each tab and each of those views can be detached or moved separately.
Since the current way is the 'expected' process - I changed the title and made this a wish.
having actually different panes for konsole would be better. see bug #178320
I cannot reproduce. I believe it has already been fixed but not recorded here.
