In an office environment, we can send and receive a lot of emails, all of which need to be retained for various legal reasons. Having a lot of email in the active directories slows down kmail significantly. It would be useful to have a way to export and delete (a.k.a. archive) based on date criteria. For example, near mid 2010, I'd like to archive all my 2009 email. Ideally the archive should be command line searchable for key words.

Steps to Reproduce:
Attempt to find a way to export and delete existing e-mails by date.

Actual Results:  
No method found.

Expected Results:  
Provide an Archive option.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
