- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Had a window marked with a generic X11 icon which I had taken to be a window relating to DAVmail which I thought I had killed, but on closing it I found it killed my plasma-desktop process with a SEGV.

I've selected a bug which appears to be the same but the backtraces seem to differ significantly.

I wonder if the data engine mentioned is related to either the weather backdrop or the weather station widget I am running ?

This is KDE 4.5.0 beta 2 with the packages from the Kubuntu PPA installed (upgraded this morning):
