Version: 4.4.0 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux As there is now the option to also use konqueror with webkit instead of KHTML it would be great if one could assign websites to that engines. I use KHTML as default engine because more of the webpages I use do work better with KHTML (and because saving websites only works with KHTML) but there are certain pages that only work (e.g. wakoopa.com) or are better displayed (e.g. ebay) with webkit. For those websites I'd like to use webkit as default engine without the need to switch manually because most of the time I forget to switch and then have to do actions again after switching which is doubled work. Therefore it would be great if one could assign some special websites to the non-default engine, in my case webkit, for other probably KHTML. Maybe pretty much the same as choosing cookies or javascript or plugins enabled for certain addresses. Still there are websites which need both engines like facebook and youtube. There are more actions on those sites that work with KHTML and not with webkit but webkit is required for some tasks, so the option to switch manually must stay at the same time. Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34-0.slh.8-sidux-686 Compiler: cc KDE 4.4.4
Sounds reasonable. I also have set the default engine to KHTML because it has more features but alas there are websites I open from links in kmail which need webkit to work (e.g. some survey sites). When I open the link from kmail the survey is opened with KHTML and I then have to reload the page with webkit - and the site tells me I have already completed the survey! So I tried to use webkit as default - but that conflicts with other sites. To avoid that a by site solution would be great!

I wish to use this feature nowadays between webkit and webengine. webengine works better and has less holes, but many of konqueror features don't work in webengine (adblock and cookie management, in particular)
Good idea in principle, but in KF6 neither WebKit nor KHTML are supported or can even be built. WebEngine is the only available web browser part.
