Description David Mills 2010-06-16 08:45:56 UTC
Version: 4.0.0 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

When I try to open a php file (*.php) every thing works, the file is opened and passed. This is the case weather the file is local or accessed over sftp.

When I try to open a *.inc file, if the file is local, everything works fine and I get duchain goodness and all that (just like above). However, if I try to open a remote *.inc file over sftp, kdevelop tells me it can't determine the file type and asks me weather I want the file opened as plain text. If I awnser yes, I get syntax highlighting, but no duchain integration.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a *.inc php file from an open project using a sftp url

Actual Results:
An error message telling me KDevelop can't find the needed editor and a question weather I should open the file as plain text

Expected Results:
An open file, passed for duchain integration

Issue still present in 4.1.2

Over sftp we get:
"Kdevelop could not find the editor for file '...'"
