Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.3.5) OS: Linux I just loaded a kde 4.3.5 system onto my computer. I printed a kword file to a pdf file. When I now print to the cups printer I get an error: application/pdf in the error log. I tried to change the destination (type), without success. Printing from other applications, like Firefox works ok. Am I doing anything wrong or is this a bug. Now, same problem with kwrite. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Print to pdf. 2. Regular print to cups
Just to make sure I understand what you are doing. On KWord, you print to a file, on Firefox, you directly print to the printer?
In both cases I print to the printer. When I print from kword and kwrite it provides the pdf error, from cups from firefox no. This all started when I printed one document to pdf from the kword dialog (choosing pdf) and now provides the indicated error, printing to the printer, and I do not know how to (readily) get around it. I have another kde system which works fine so no emergency so far; plus I think I can print to the printer from Okular but I did not try this. Where is the kword/kwrite set up file? @dan: This bug report is quite old. Is this still a problem for you?
