Description alx 2010-06-15 17:41:36 UTC
Version: 1.00 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

After reboot of my PC kopete loads empty list of connections. So if I click on configurations and look at "accounts' settings" I have no any accounts!
But if I kill the process of kopete using "$ pidof kopete| xargs kill" ad start kopete again it loads all accounts configurations succesfully.

And another remark about killing kopete. If I just clicking on tray icon -> "exit". Then kopete hides tray icon, but using "ps ax|grep kopete" I can find it in list of programms, so if I try to start kopete after just clicking "exit" kopete doesn't start! And for succesfull work with kopete I should kill kopete processes from konsole and then start it again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
It happens always on reboot of computer.

Actual Results:
kopete doesn't connect to my 2 ICQ accounts (they online by default), it doesnt show any accounts in accounts preferences (although I have 1 Skype account, 1 jabber account (exluded from global connection by default) and 2 ICQ accounts)

Expected Results:
I expect kopete to load my accounts list, and contact lists of the accounts. On reboot of PC ^-)

The problem happens with me exactly as described. I have a WLM and a Jabber account.

I'm not sure when this started, but it didn't happen before Kubuntu 10.04. My version of kde is 4.4.2.

I have a little bit similar problem which started after an upgrade to Kubuntu 10.10, all my accounts (Jabber, Facebook, ICQ) are OK, but after unknown amount of time they all disappears and Kopete thinks there are none of them (and I cannot receive messages anymore). I am going to remove configuration files (I did nothing with them, this is not a problem caused by my mistake), maybe they are incompatible with the previous version...

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!

I do not experience my problem any more. Maybe a reinstallation and configs restoration helped.
