Description Werner Meyer 2010-06-15 17:01:07 UTC
It seems, that searching for a mail fulltext, many (offline-)folders with many mails, slows down kmail and the whole system.
And if I leave the search-window (to go to the last-search-folder, e.g.) the search continues in the background, but this time without possibility to stop it.

KDE 4.13 completely changed the search system (from Nepomuk to Baloo).
Please upgrade to this version and check if you still see the problem.
(4.13 is currently beta; any testing is welcome)

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
