Description Sönke Hahn 2010-06-15 14:58:33 UTC
Version: 1.13.3
OS: Linux

KMail opens the last selected mail in another window when selecting an entry in the status filter drop down list using the keyboard. Apart from that, the filtering is behaving correctly. It seems like the hitting of the enter key is handled both by the status drop down list and by the message list.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Well, happens almost every time, but I can't reproduce it not happening right now...

1. Go to a message folder that contains mails.
2. Select a mail in the message list.
3. Click on "Any Status", the status filtering drop down widget with the mouse.
3. Using the arrow keys of your keyboard, select some item from that list.
4. Press enter.

Actual Results:
The status filtering is changed AND the selected mail opens in another window.

Expected Results:
The status filtering is changed.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
