Description slavo 2010-06-14 13:17:09 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

there is no way how to set primary display if you have multi monitor configuration,
primary display= screen where is plasma and default panel

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Evgeny Brazgin 2010-07-25 15:26:37 UTC
and it's bad, that primary screen changes after plugging an external screen to notebook.
need to be able to change primary screen without using "xrandr --output LVDS1 --primary"
Comment 2 Andrey 2010-08-15 03:17:55 UTC
Yes, GUI option would be very nice, considering the fact
that KDE places its panels and widgets to primary monitor,
so this option will actually control the way Plasma behaves,
when connecting second monitor.

Cannot find on 4.5.2 either (openSUSE 11.3).
Will it be available in 4.6.*?
Comment 6 Lubos Lunak 2010-11-01 13:44:11 UTC
4.6.0+

OK i found it in kde 4.6.0 , but this function is buggy ...

1. if i change primary output without any other changes and then press apply = nothing happens,,, no error message just no change

2. there is impossible to set second monitor to be left of my laptotp screen and have primary output set to laptop display (if i set left of position it just ignore primary output setting)
