A refresh of the panel clock is planned for SC 4.6 (but no guarantees). Better config options will be provided, as will more integration with PIM components such as KAlarm.
Still waiting more integration like kalarm, timer ...But now I alredy using kubuntu lucid ( with kde 4.5.3 )
Discussions have been held with KDEPIM about KAlarm integration, this is waiting on the Akonadi release of KAlarm which is not yet available.
