Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Please implement something like this for opensuse! http://vimeo.com/11952424 Basically, it keeps track of everything that runs on boot. It then allows you to do a few things: 1. It seperates apps into: known to be safe to remove, advanced user choice, required 2. You can select apps and say, "don't run on startup" or "run after boot when computer idle" 3. It allows all users to report back to a main DB about what each app does and what the outcome was of pausing, delaying/stopping an app was So it gets smarter over time and GREATLY helps the less tech savvy users! Reproducible: Didn't try
This is not the opensuse bugtracker. Please report this wish to http://bugzilla.novell.com/
(In reply to comment #1) > This is not the opensuse bugtracker. Please report this wish to > http://bugzilla.novell.com/ sorry, I meant KDE not opensuse. I was in the middle of also doing something for opensuse. I want this in KDE.
Nowadays you can use systemd-analyze for parts of this. The rest seem too broad to be tracked in the bug tracker.
