Akonadi error report

Version: 4.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

Always the same problems with Akonadi, with:
- lucid fresh install (either 32 or 64bits);
 - new user home
The problem is always the same: when kontact opens, it complains about akonadi not working. If I manually stop and start akonadi, kontact works fine. The problem affect in reality not kmail but the addressbook.
Bug also present in karmic, and in jaunty, and...
I know devs'job isn't easy. But how to explain a windows user that in an LTS fresh install of Kubuntu, you can't expect that you have a functionning mail software ? ...
Previously, I simply removed akonadi from my system. With recent KDE versions, you simply can't get kontact working if akonadi is not present (and it doesn't work properly with akonadi present either...).

I can add other akonadi error reports if necessary.

I already reported this bug on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592570) and was asked to report the bug here.

Regards

Olivier Subilia

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open kontact

Actual Results:
Error message; adressbook not usable.

Expected Results:
No error message and adressbook usable, of course...

Did you turn Nepomuk off on your computer ?

That's the only thing that your akonadi report complains about.

OOOps, didn't notice the previous post. Sorry.

No, I didn't turn Nepomuk off my computer. Now I run Maverick at home, but I still have the same problems with this error at work, were we run Lucid.
