Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-06-11 13:07:45 UTC
Version:           0.9 (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS:                Linux

I do not live in Abidjan, and having to skip Abidjan (and lots of other places) to set the correct timezone for an appointment is a big annoyance each time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
Add a new appointment.

2.
Expand the timezone pop-up menu.

Actual Results:
1.
The timezone is "floating".

2.
* floating
* UTC
* Africa/Abidjan
...

Expected Results:
2.
* floating
* UTC
* `date '+%Z'`
* Africa/Abidjan
...

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop
Compiler: gcc

The workaround to always use UTC is not very compelling.

Of course, the version is 4.3.5, as in KDE.

Current KOrganizer puts the user's preferred time zone (from System Settings) at the top of the time zone list.
