Version: 3.5 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux KMix does not follow the chosen device priority in the Sound Configuration in System Settings. When I change the device priority, applications like Amarok change their output to that device, but KMix shows the controls for the deselected device as the primary controls, thus making it impossible to directly control the volume with the master channel slider which pops up on mouse click in the system tray. [Actually, KMix is at version 3.6 and KDE SC at 4.4.4; bugzilla does not offer these values] Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Change sound device preference, click KMix icon in system tray. Actual Results: The master channel of the previous sound card is shown. Expected Results: The master channel of the device with the highest device preference should be shown.
