Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Kmail allows to add new contacts to KAddressBook. However, it doesn't offer any means to access/retrieve contact information from KAddressBook. Kmail seems to manage email addresses totally independently from KAddressBook. How do I edit/add/remove addresses in KMail? KAddressBook doesn't show any KMail contact information. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Move mouse cursor over email address in KMail (e.g. form field in some inbox message) 2. Right click 3. Select "Add to Address Book" 4. KMail/KAddressBook prompts you to select address book. Only std.vcf is available. Select std.vcf and click OK. 5. Click new email icon in KMail. 6. Try to select recipients by clicking "Select..." button next to To field. 7. Observe that none of the address book contacts are available Actual Results: KMail doesn't give any possibility to select email addresses from KAddressBook. Expected Results: Contact information added via KMail should be available when selecting recipients to new email. Bugs #241168 and #237140 might be related.
Same Problem with my KMail Version 1.13.3 bug 237511 So is this a duplicate or not? Who will switch the settings and give users a solution or workaround? Regards, Martin
