Please upgrade to Amarok 2.3.1 and KDE 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 and try to reproduce this again.
have you ever had a look at the source, or wether the possible problem is still there. I am growing tired of this bug-closing mentality.
Well, I will test as soon as you confirm this with a more recent version, that's all I ask you for. I didn't close that bug AFAICS.
This is a sporadic crash, so there's no way either you nore I can reproduce this. The only value this report has, is that somebody qualified reading amarok's code (and at least I am not that qualified) can take a look at the code and what went wrong, and what coudl be the very special circumstances that caused that crash.
this is most likely a QT crash. The only line indicating amarok in there is this one: #23 0x03c3e557 in App::notify (this=0xbfbab0e8, receiver=0x9971590, event=0xbfbaa830) at /usr/src/debug/amarok-2.3.0/src/App.cpp:917

Clemens, do you also use QT 4.7?
yes some qt-4.7 pre-release shipped by fedora-kde-unstable

The reports so far are for amarok 2.3.0 + Qt 4.7. Does upgrading to amarok 2.3.1 help?
I haven't seen the crash with 2.3.1 yet (haven't found a way to reliably trigger it), but I'll report if I experience one.
