Created attachment 47694 [details] gdb trace attached to akregator process when it hangs Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Akregator freezes for around 5 seconds and does not respond at all. This happens every half a minute, but it is random. It does not seem to be related with a given action. I tried to narrow the problem and it seems that the culprits are a couple of feeds.. They are broken feeds in fact. That means the removing them from my list the problem disappears, but still I think that this is a relevant bug, since a couple of broken feeds cannot just make your machine go to 100% every half a minute. I attach the opml feeds to reproduce it. I have also attached gdb to the process and crated a couple of traces. Please find them attached as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I have used Ubuntu 9.10, but here is a step by step method to reproduce it with Debian testing: 1) Install a fresh debian testing 2) Install akregator: apt-get install akregator 3) Run akregator File -> Import Feeds... 4) Give the ompl file that I attach to this mail 5) Just refresh the feeds (Ctrl+R) and play around with the application. In less than half a minute the GUI would be frozen for about 5 seconds. This will happen every ~30secs. I also tried with akregator 4:4.3.4-2, installing a unstable distribution. The result is exactly the same.

Hi! did anyone try to reproduce this bug? Regards, Enrique
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
