Konq does open new tabs in a new konq window instead the existing one (as configured) when a URL is clicked on a different desktop. More specifically, this can be triggered when detaching a tab from Akregator.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Configure Konqi to open everything in new tabs in a running session instead of new windows
Open a tab in Akregator, detach it

Actual Results:  
A new Konqi window pops up

Expected Results:  
A new tab in the old window should pop up.

Happens at least since KDE 4.2

Another trigger: open a link from choqok on a different desktop than the konq main window
