Description Beat Fasel 2010-06-02 11:30:17 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux

When placing the Documents and Filesystem Browser buttons of the left sidebar to the bottom sidebar, the buttons are correctly relocated. However, after closing kate and restarting it, the bottoms are back on the default left sidebar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Start kate
2) Relocate left sidbar buttons to bottom sidebar
3) Close kate
4) Start kate

Actual Results:
The buttons are back to the left sidebar default location.

Expected Results:
The buttons should be located on the bottom bar.

If you use a session it should work. If you do not use a session, try Session > Save as Default after moving the sidebars. Does that work?

Yes, that works, thanks a lot for the workaround. Maybe changing the layout should become the new default behavior?

yes, it's rather a bug.
