Description Edney Matias 2010-06-01 02:50:44 UTC
Version: SVN (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Don't know if it's a bug, probably it's not but on kde 4.5 beta 1 launching akregator also launches kttsd and i don't know why. I looked for configuration options but couldn't find nothing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Launch akregator

Actual Results:
Launches kttsd.

Expected Results:
I don't want to see kttsd when i don't need it. Maybe an option could disable it.

I looked at accessibilities options on system settings to disable the voice synthesizer but even if i uncheck, it is launched by akregator.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of akregator (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
