Version: 1.0.0 (using KDE 4.3.4) OS: MS Windows When unselecting the Show Menubar setting from the Settings menu, the menu bar is hidden. There is no way to make it visible again using the mouse because the contextual menu is white. Also uninstalling and reinstalling the application doesn't solve the problem. The only solution is the Ctrl + M keyboard shortcut, but it is not as intuitive as it should be. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open the application -> Select Settings -> Unselect Show MenuBar Actual Results: The menu bar is hidden but there is no intuitive, simple way of restoring it back if one doesn't know the Ctrl + M shortcut. One problem that aggravates this issue is the fact that the contextual menu is all white. Expected Results: Th menu bar is hidden but there is a simpler way to restore it, a small button in the upper right corner, or a tool-tip to inform the user about the keyboard shortcut to restore the menu back.
I agree. This problem have been already reported there. Konsole has the same option. When menu is disabled, a new sub-option appears in contexual menu. The same way must be implemented everywhere in digiKam (album view, cameragui, LT, BQM, IE) and showfoto... Gilles Caulier
