Description Brian 2010-05-30 18:10:31 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

For machines with slower video cards, provide a feature to either disable screen animiation or make the effects "instant"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open an existing split transaction
Double click a transaction to edit
An editing field will slide out from the existing entry

Actual Results:
On my machine with an nvidia 6200 video card, the slide animation is very sluggish.

Expected Results:
No animation and instead the ability to directly edit within the field

In my opinion, the animiation/graphic effects of KMM4 should pick up the settings of KDE. If composting is disabled, disable graphic effects. If composting is enabled, use the same settings. In my case, all animation is set to 'instant'.

If the sliding effect is actually a result of slow performing code and not an intentional feature, the feature request should be a bug request for slow performance.

There is no animation code in KMyMoney. I can assure we have enough in our hands to add animations.

This is probably controlled by disabling the animations for the desktop or window theme you are using.
