msword 2007 test document to be opened in kword

SOFTWARE VERSION:
  Kubuntu 9.04
  Koffice (svn version 1037805)
  Test document (MS Word 2007): mw07_embedded_equation_editor.docx

STEPS LEADING TO THE PROBLEM:
  1. Open the attached document in MS Word 2007.
  2. Open the same document in KWord.
  3. Observe the symbols in the first page of the document.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
  Symbols inserted using "equation editor" should be displayed.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
  Symbols inserted using "equation editor" are not displayed in
  the document.Blank page is shown.
