Created an attachment
msword 2007 test document to be opened in kword

SOFTWARE VERSION:
  Kubuntu 9.04
  Koffice (svn version 1037805)
  Test document (MS Word 2007): mw07_picture_effect_glow.docx
   ( Test data contains only glow effect)

STEPS LEADING TO THE PROBLEM:
  1. Open the attached document in MSWord.
  2. Open the same document in KOffice.
  3. Observe the picture effects in the document.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
  Kword should be able to display picture effects (glow, bevel etc).

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
  Kword is unable to display picture effects.
  Picture is displayed with no effect.
