Description Aere 2010-05-27 03:53:23 UTC
Version: 1.13.2 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

The first time after booting Kontact is started, Akonadi reports an error (details below). If I terminate Kontact and start it again, it works okay. Here are the details of the error:

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-22-generic
Compiler: cc
Comment 1 Aere 2010-05-27 03:56:11 UTC
I have a work-around, in that all I have to do is restart Kontact/Kmail, but it is annoying to have to do it every single time I sign-on.
Comment 2 Vasileios P. Lourdas 2010-05-30 07:14:17 UTC
I confirm this issue. For some time now, the first time I open KMail after login, Akonadi crashes. After I click Close in the informational window by Akonadi, KMail closes, but after that any try to open KMail again is successful. This happens only at the first time.
Comment 3 Stefan Seide 2010-06-09 17:18:34 UTC
Same problem for me since KDE 4.4

Debian unstable (amd64), kontact/kaddressbook deb 4.4.4-1
Comment 4 pierinz 2010-06-26 11:27:02 UTC
Same problem, on Gentoo (amd64), kde 4.4.4
Comment 5 Maciej Mrozowski 2010-08-04 18:19:07 UTC
This is duplicate of bug 230247.
Comment 6 Nancy Anthracite 2010-08-23 10:33:48 UTC
This problem has resolved for me when I upgraded to a newer version Kmail and Kontact
Comment 7 Stefan Seide 2010-08-23 22:13:03 UTC
same for me - resolved with kontact/kaddressbook 4.4.5-1 (debian sid)

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
